"Over and Over" is a song by American rapper Nelly featuring American country music singer Tim McGraw. The lyrics were written by Nelly while the music was written and produced past James D. "Sted-Fast" Hargrove II and Jayson "KoKo" Bridges. Other musicians contributing to the recording include Bryan Loss (drums) and Matthew Brauss (bass guitar). The lyrics of the vocal focus on regret.[two]

In Europe, "Over and Over" topped the charts of Ireland and the United Kingdom.[xiv] [15] In the latter country, it stayed on the UK Singles Chart for 15 weeks and was ranked at number 25 on the year-cease chart for 2005.[fifteen] [xvi] Information technology was certified argent in 2013 for aircraft over 200,000 copies in the UK.[17] Across continental Europe, the single entered the pinnacle 10 in Republic of austria,[18] the Czechia,[19] Denmark,[20] Germany,[21] Hungary,[22] Romania,[23] and Switzerland,[24] achieving a superlative of number ii on the Eurochart Hot 100.[25] It additionally topped the Australian Singles Chart, staying at the height for v weeks,[26] earning a double-platinum certification,[27] and finishing in fifth place on Australia's twelvemonth-end chart for 2005.[28] In New Zealand, information technology reached a peak of number two on Feb fourteen, 2005, and was the yr's 29th-best-selling hitting.[29] [30]

Music video [edit]

The music video was directed past Erik White and Nelly himself. During the video, Nelly and McGraw sing individually on split screen.
